Let’s Get Juicy

As a college student, it’s hard to balance my health, school work, and social life. Going in to college I promised myself I would keep my health top priority. Do I still go to Chick-fil-A every so often? Absolutely! But, I’ve found ways to balance my diet. My favorite thing I’ve added to my diet is juices, and I’m not talking about the juice you buy at the grocery store. I’m talking about freshly juiced fruits and veggies in your own home!

Ever since I began juicing, I have more energy, I am less bloated, my skin is clearing up, and I just feel amazing! Im going to share six of my favorite juice recipes that you can incorporate in your day-to-day diet, or for you to do a juice cleanse for an entire day.

What you’ll need:

A juicer (I got mine at target)

18 Green apples

3 large Cucumbers

24 hearts Celery

2 bunches Spinach

4 bunches Kale

11 Lemons

48 carrots

3 Oranges

5 Beets

1 pineapple

1 bunch mint

A turmeric root

A ginger root

cayenne pepper

Agave nectar

1 quart organic cashew milk

3 bananas


This is good for a 3 day juice cleanse, and I will tell you exactly how much ingredients you’ll need for each individual juice. I spent about $60 for all the items and it made 18 juices for me to drink! Your local juice bar will charge, on average, about $8 per juice. So, you will be saving a lot by juicing at home!

I also don’t follow these exact recipes. I like to add whatever I’m feeling, and I don’t really stress what the recipe tells me! My go-to ingredients are celery, green apples, carrots, and cucumbers. They make any juice better.
